The exposure of the flourishing Tibetan contemporary art movement is just in its infancy. The art from the Roof of the World will be making more and more appearances on the world stage.

The Tibetan struggle to make sense of their world in the fast paced changing environment of modern Tibet gives it a great deal of source material to draw upon.

This work demands to be looked at carefully for it is narrative of subtle drama, containing as it does an extraordinary range of people, things, and icons, both religious and secular, that speak to the past and the present and our confusion with life.

"Bauhinia Rider" unveiled at Hong Kong Lok Ma Chau MTR Station.

It is with great pleasure that Plum Blossoms Gallery announce the unveiling of “Bauhinia Rider”, a 2.7M-tall bronze cast sculpture created by artist Jiang Shuo for Hong Kong MTR Corporation.

Considering Hong Kong’s unique geographical, cultural, economical and historical context, I wanted to use a accessible, relaxed and humorous artistic language to reflect on our history whilst also serving as a blessing for the future.” said Jiang Shuo on her latest commissioned work.

The sculpture is situated on 3/F Concourse Level, Hong Kong Lok Ma Chau Station.
