Late Qing Kesi Panel with Peach Tree, Flowers and Bird
Antique Chinese late Qing dynasty polychrome silk and gold kesi tapestry woven panels with a garden dominated by a fruiting tree with long-life peaches, blooming peony flowers and fabulous birds including a central Paradise Flycatcher and three red-headed egrets, one perched in the peach tree and the other two on the ground within the garden. The whole composition is laid out against a luxurious golden ground.
